Friday, September 2: “Cuban Blues Evening”

– Chef: Florian PORTANIER from AbenFant – rue Amiral Roussin in Dijon

The Abenfant means in Old French, the child of the great-grandchild.

Why did we choose this name? Quite simply because we decided to make a grandmother’s kitchen.

A simple and generous cuisine, slightly brought up to date.

We only use Fresh, French, Seasonal, Local, Organic or Reasoned Products.

– Concert : La Trova Project – France/Cuba –

“We know the pianist Raphaël Lemonnier for his collaborations with China Moses, Camille or even Sandra Nkaké, that is to say if he knows anything about singers. And in this project on the crossbreeding of Cuban song (la Trova) and the blues, he introduces us to two feminine and authentic voices that we must listen to…” – Jazz Magazine –

Saturday September 3: “New Generations Evening”

– Chef: Chern Hwei GAN of the Umbrella – rue Monge in Dijon

A young chef from Borneo, Chern Hwei Gan, passed through Mère Brazier and Très Girard before deploying the whales and taking delighted Dijon residents around the world in his restaurant: Le Parapluie. By its always inventive menus, in “slash” mode, on products chosen and assembled with dexterity, without forgetting the terroir!

– Concert: Collective Zoot – France

The Zoot Collectif is carried by young musicians from all over France (Bayonne, Marciac, Lyon, Paris, Grenoble). They met during their studies (in New York for some and at the CNSM for others) and founded the collective in
September 2016.

The group since its creation strives to promote its projects in a creative and original way. To give a taste and desire to his generation to reconnect with jazz, that is his only goal!

Sunday, September 4: “Boogie Woogie Evening”

– Chief: announcement on July 1
– Concert : JP Bertrand Boogie System

Faithful to the spirit of orchestral Boogie Woogie created in Chicago in the 1940s, like Albert Ammons and his Rhythm Kings, “The Boogie System” enlivens a repertoire made up of classic Jazz standards, “hits” of Boogie and original orchestral arrangements.

Difficult to remain insensitive to this music with a powerful feeling coming straight from African-American culture. The group is united by an unfailing energy, a perfect knowledge of the discourse of the Blues and a tremendous musical enthusiasm to share.

For everyone, the Boogie-Woogie is a warm style to enjoy without moderation!
