Press release from the City of Dijon of May 28, 2021:
The city of Dijon pursues a proactive policy for the support and inclusion of people with disabilities: administrative and / or social assistance, accessibility, awareness campaign on disabilities within community services and intended for the general public …
In this context, the Center Communal d’Action Sociale is organizing, in partnership with 38 associations, the “Let’s play with our differences” day. This event offers, through sport, culture and leisure, scenarios around games that allow participants to understand the difficulties encountered on a daily basis by people with disabilities. The goal is to change everyone’s view of disability.
This year, the health context did not allow this event to be organized at Parc de la Colombière, but the city of Dijon wished to maintain it by offering a fully online edition. Thus, the inhabitants of Dijon and the inhabitants of the metropolis will be able to discover and participate in the “digital rally of the 4 seasons” and win prizes. To do this, simply connect to the site www.jouonsdenosdifférences.fr from May 29, download the response form and find the workshop videos filmed by the partner associations. At the end of each video, a question about the handicap is asked, you must then fill out the answer form and send it back to jouonsdenosdiffé[email protected]. To win a prize *, you must answer at least 5 questions (1 per activity).
These videos make up the 4 seasons of the year. You will be able to discover in spring: Fashion show, In the skin of a Dys, Memory, Sport for all. In summer: Pétanque in the dark, emotional song, relaxation for all, storytelling with 2 hands and a voice. In autumn: flight of owls, reading differently, discovering a work of art with your eyes closed, images in French Sign Language. In winter: Play with the instructions, sign coffee, no arms, no chocolate!
You will also find on the site information on associations which work in favor of the handicap on the territory of Dijon. At the same time, a drawing competition was launched in elementary schools in the city. The pupils of classes from CE2 to CM2 who attend the Extracurricular Reception Time imagined and drawn a super hero with a disability and gave him super power.
