Dijon: a chain of bars arrives on rue Monge

After hosting the Assommoir for years, 48 rue Monge will soon become a “plank bar”. It is the fourth restaurant and the second franchise of the Parisian brand 17.45.

Yann de Canson, one of the founders of the brand, explains to us that “Dijon was one of the cities we were targeting”. The arrival of the future City of gastronomy and the richness of the local wine heritage knew how to attract the creators of the brand already present in Paris and Bordeaux. The concept emphasizes “aperitif”. Around wines or draft beers, the bar offers planks to compose. “The products served are products that we reference but we also leave the possibility to franchisees to reference local products”, specifies Yann de Canson who does not fail to quote the motto of the establishment: “Chez nous, le gras c ‘is life “.

In Dijon, it is Clément Derepas, former sales consultant, who opens this second franchised address. The works started just over a week ago and are expected to last another month. The opening will be fixed for the end of February and should coincide with mardi gras to stay in the theme. The franchisee did not wish to communicate about the investment of the local which will have fifty places. Two full-time permanent hires will be made and Clément Derepas is also looking for two extras.
