Dijkstra Draisma receives millions for the development of a new renovation plant – Economy

Home Affairs Minister Raymond Knops announced the news on Wednesday. From 2025, the Future Factory must supply 25,000 new facades and roofs per year for the sustainability of around 3.5 million homes in the Netherlands.

Dijkstra Draisma already operates a similar robotic façade factory in Dokkum. “But this is really going to be a mega-factory,” says innovator Folkert Linnemans of the Frisian construction group. “This grant helps us, but the consortium will add at least half of it.”

Fourteen market parties

In total, the government supports fourteen market parties with 75 million euros. To meet the requirements of the climate agreement, around 200,000 houses must be tackled each year. It is still unclear where the Future Factory will rise. Dijkstra Draisma itself has branches in Dokkum and Bolsward, but Factory Zero operates from Gelderse Tiel, while RC Panels is located in Lemelerveld in Overijssel.

“The government normally subsidizes per project,” says Linnemans. ,, It is special that they now support a five-year program in this way. For those early years, we know exactly what they will look like, but we just don’t know that for the last year. It is pretty brave of the empire to get involved in this way. “
