Aini Mäensivu won this year Dealprogram. The winner was promised to be the manager of Helsinki Kulttuuritehdas Repair.
Now Mäensivu’s work at Korjaamo has come to an end.
– It was not an easy decision in the sense that Korjaamo is such a great venue with a competent team of event industry professionals at work. It was really a great pleasure to get to know them and get to work together, Mäensivu tells Iltalehte.
– In the end, however, it is clear what my heart beats for and that is entrepreneurship.
Mäensivu said on Instagram that he worked at Korjaamo two days a week in May and June, but after the summer holidays he did not return to the house.
Mäensivu has two of his own companies, which he has grown over the years.
– At the moment, I have just launched a new online store with a partner, I run online courses and mentor other entrepreneurs in the creative industry to grow their operations, he says.
Mäensivu says that he is doing speaking gigs in the future.
– I’m going to South Africa for the winter, probably for about four to five months, he reveals.
He does not directly comment on whether he felt Mäensivu was a good springboard for Diil.
– All in all, Diili has been a great experience. I remember it a lot right now, because the shooting was exactly one year ago.

After the competition, Mäensivu’s official title was Korjaamo concept director. Pesti took shape through joint discussions.
– My area of responsibility is to develop new event concepts for Korjaamo. I will join Korjaamo’s team to develop different event concepts together with the rest of the work group. The goal is to hold events at Korjaamo that have not been seen there before and thus increase their business, Mäensivu told Iltalehte in the spring.
Diili boss Jaajo Linnonmaa also wrote on Instagram on Thursday about Mäensivu’s Repair Shop. Linnonmaa described in his writing that he was in a wistful mood, but also proud.
– The winning concept Uudet Aamut, seen in Diili’s final, was also implemented at Korjaamo, the Diili boss is happy.
