More than 20 people are to be taken for hearings at the headquarters of DIICOT – Central Structure, following an action carried out by DIICOT prosecutors in collaboration with the policemen of the Bucharest Organized Crime Brigade.
On Monday, 23 house searches were carried out in the city of Bucharest, “in a case with the purpose of committing the crimes of forming an organized criminal group, high-risk drug trafficking and high-risk drug trafficking”, it is stated in a communicated by DIICOT.
Since 2022, members of the group have sold high-risk and high-risk drugs to consumers, including high school students in Bucharest.
To date, various amounts of cannabis, cocaine and ketamine as well as Xanax tablets have been identified during house searches.
The action benefits from the support of the Special Intervention Brigade of the “Vlad Țepeș” Gendarmerie.
Specialist support was provided by the Special Operations Department of the Romanian Police.
Sources close to the investigation say that among the suspects to be brought to the hearings are also students from Traian and Hristo Botev high schools, who were apparently selling drugs in Sector 1.
