Digitalization of public services: Ghita Mezzour calls for more investment in human capital

The acceleration of the digitalization of public services requires more investment in human capital, underlined, Wednesday in Rabat, the Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Ghita Mezzour. “Human capital is the main driver of this entire digitalization strategy,” said Ms. Mezzour in a statement to the press following the second meeting of the National Commission for Digital Development, chaired by the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch.

In this sense, she called for greater investment in the training of young people in this key sector of the development of any economy.

Referring to “the general orientations of digital development – ​​Morocco digital 2030”, the minister explained that this strategy will allow citizens to benefit from digital services, while supporting the public administration in the digital transition project.

This strategy, she said, also aims to create employment opportunities through the attraction of investments and to support young people through training in the digital field.

This new version includes different fundamental axes, she explained, citing the first axis relating to the acceleration of the pace of digitalization of public services with the consideration of the quality of services, in addition to a second having for aim of implementing effective digital solutions, capable of meeting national needs in this area and creating value and jobs.

Members of the government, as well as members of the commission, in addition to representatives of the public and private sectors and professional bodies and experts took part in the work of this second meeting of the National Commission for Digital Development.
