It will be a 2021 of revolution for the DTT, which is preparing to welcome the much talked about switch off to the DVB-T2 standard. A lot of outdated set-top boxes and TVs will be forced to abandon the homes of the Italians, to make room for the latest generation models capable of hooking up all the new channel frequencies.

In these weeks, there are already several news announced. Some channels have changed positions, while others have had to say goodbye. But there are also many interesting additions, including an excellent one announced earlier: Sportitalia lands on Digital Terrestrial. Specifically, it will be the first Italian television to have the entire schedule both live and on demand on free TV.

Sportitalia officially lands on Digital Terrestrial, and will be the first Italian TV to have the entire schedule available both live and on demand among the free offers. The news was announced a while ago, and has been made available thanks to the Si Smart platform launched in 2019 which, thanks to the HbbTv2.0 technology, allows you to reach all the latest generation smart TVs. With this technology, it will now be possible to see full contents, columns, highlights services and much more simply by pressing the red button on your television remote control.

This is a real turning point for Sportitalia, which will offer a unique experience in Europe. At the moment, there are no other broadcasters offering all these services for free. But as we always say, sport must belong to everyone, especially in such a delicate period. It is also an assist for all of our advertisers”Said the company’s CEO Michele Crisciello.
