Digital terrestrial, 2021 opens with many new features: tuning is necessary

Filed on switch to DVB-S2 for satellite, the news from the digital terrestrial front for Italian TV continues in a year that will mark the go-ahead for the switch off to DVB-T2. In the first days of the year we report important changes to the numbering.

First on the TIMB Mux 3 we report the removal of the three copies of TV8, which did not offer any content to users apart from a generic sign calling for tuning. The Cairo group also removed TV8 On Demand Provisional and TV8 News On Demand Provisional, while TV8 remains at positions 8/108/508, with TV8 On Demand at 808 and 908.

Still on the TIMB Mux 3, it was inserted at position 570 RadioItaliaTV HD, which however does not transmit in high definition but in SD, like the homonymous channel present at position 70.

Moving to Rete A Mux 1 instead, Provisional Sky and Provisional Sky TG24 have been eliminated. The two channels are accessible to LCN 26 and 50.

To fully engage the news in question, it is necessary to tune the decoders and TVs.

We remind you that for all 2021 the 50 Euro TV bonus will still remain available, the measure put in place by the Government to facilitate the replacement of equipment, which recently it was refinanced by the Executive.
