This year we will dedicate our attention to the in-depth study of the new frontiers of medicine, such as in particular digital therapiessoftware applications that in other countries can already be prescribed by the public healthcare system, capable of integrating or replacing traditional drugs. These applications interact with the patient on a cognitive behavioral level, modifying their habits and lifestyles.

All this for guarantee interactive and personalized assistanceeven remotely, making the patient more aware and involved and at the same time enhancing the fundamental relationship with the doctor, integrated with the services offered by technology. These topics will be discussed at the conference on 11 November at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, which will involve sector experts and Rotarian professionals. I would like to remind you that “Digital medicine for prevention and treatment” is based on the voluntary and free work of dozens of professionals who offer their commitment to serving society. I extend my heartfelt thanks to them and all the project partners.”

«Rotary – he says Alessandro Bonsignorepresident of the Provincial Order of Surgeons and Dentists of Genoa – has, with this project, been able to provide a service to the Community in various areas – intertwined with each other – to which our Order pays close attention: home care, prevention and telemedicine. Here the “Digital Medicine” project, in addition to representing an opportunity for growth for everyone, has led to the creation of a virtuous example which – thanks to the collaboration with Asl3 and Asl4 – can become a structural service provided to the population by our SSR» .

«The collaboration between Asl3 and the Genoese Rotary – he explains Luigi Carlo Bottarogeneral director of ASL3 – is a significant example of how important it is to implement strategies shared with stakeholders for the activation of prevention campaigns in the area. A strategy in which we firmly believe and which we have been implementing for some time as part of the so-called Sharing Medicine. There are more and more activities that we carry out in partnership with mayors, public services, associations, unions and bodies to reach citizens and stimulate the adoption of correct lifestyles, also taking advantage, as in this case, of the enormous potential of digital tools ».

«The prospect of using digital therapies – he declares Paolo Petraliageneral director of ASL4 – represents one of the virtuous and innovative paths that our healthcare is experiencing. These tools will allow, through the use of apps and software, the possibility of taking advantage of therapeutic treatments recognized by traditional medicine which can improve lifestyles. The path that has been developed in recent years with the Rotary Club has allowed our ASL to develop this sensitivity, so much so that we can also imagine an experimentation of some digital therapies in the near future, in collaboration with Confindustria Dispositivi Medici and some companies in the sector” .
