Digital media for children is on the rise. Digital media plays a major role in today’s society. And because of this, there is a constant call to introduce children to digital media as early as possible.
I bought my first PC when I was about 30 years old. A very good friend of mine, whom I met at work, was partly responsible for this. Before that, I had hardly had anything to do with computers myself.
Somehow my friend managed to awaken my interest in computers and what you can do with them. There is no question that computers make many things possible.
Why am I mentioning this? To put a stop to the bogus argument that I’m stuck in the past.
Digital media only from 30
Although I only started with the new achievements (Opens in new window) I was soon able to install Windows, change RAM, install software, use the Office programs and, a little later, create websites and program with PHP.
New media only at 40
At some point I bought a notebook for space reasons and a smartphone for my work in web design.
That is why I thought about switching to digital media, which today also new media (Opens in new window) to write a series of articles. The core issue will be the age at which children should be allowed to use them.
How many articles this series will include is currently not 100% clear.
For now I am planning articles about game consoles, SMART TV, tablets, notebooks, PCs, smartphones, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Pinterest, Telegram and YouTube. I will publish these gradually.
Of course I am open to suggestions.
On this page I will list the individual articles for easier findability. I have had experience with all devices and platforms except for the messenger Telegram and the platforms OnlyFans, Snapchat and Azar.
