Amid anticipation of a Red Dead Redemption remaster announcement, industry techs at Digital Foundry have been testing Red Dead Redemption in 4K and 60fps on PC thanks to emulators.

Even with all the limitations imposed by Xbox 360 emulation on PC, the unofficial RDR remaster brings back an extremely immersive and “relevant” gaming experience to the screen, offering settings, particle effects and lighting at a level of much higher detail. According to tests conducted by DF, an increase in frame rate guarantees more responsive controls and, as a result, an even more fun gaming experience.

Therefore, Digital Foundry hopes to witness an official remaster that guarantees an even smoother, more graphically pleasing and technologically advanced gaming experience.
