“Digital education – mobile learning opportunities for your employees”

Coesfeld – The Münsterland regional association of the Federal Association of Medium Industries (BVMW Münsterland) and the Coesfeld campus of the FernUniversität in Hagen are organizing an evening about digital education on 28 November. The speaker of the night is Prof. Dr. Jörn Littkemann from the FernUniversität in Hagen.

The challenges facing today’s world of work, in which the separation between professional and private spheres continues to decrease, the lack of skilled workers in companies in almost all sectors, the emergence of intelligence artificial and, last but not least, the corona pandemic. causing the need for digital education offerings to increase. This will affect both academic education in universities and vocational (training, further education and training) in companies as well as in the educational institutions of the rooms and other providers. The focus here was mainly on mobile education offers, which allow participants to study and take tests independently, regardless of time and place.

At this stage, however, the development of compatible digital products is still in its infancy. The lecture will first present the status of international research on digital education and the many struggles that exist despite the lip service paid to innovation and digital learning. Building on this, the example of the BWL Champion learning app developed by university teachers shows how mobile learning and testing can be successfully implemented in university and company practice. In addition to university members, the lecture is aimed primarily at representatives of medium-sized companies that would like to offer mobile learning solutions to their employees in addition to or instead of traditional advanced training programs as part of employer branding .

Spokesman from Hagen

The speaker of the night is Prof. Dr. Jörn Littkemann from the Chair of Business Administration, especially Accounting and Corporate Control, at the Faculty of Economics at the FernUniversität in Hagen. Dr. Dr. Littkemann is a partner in the digital education company APP Academic Product Partner GmbH in Emsdetten and a long-time lecturer in higher education and vocational training. He also sits on the board of directors of Volksbank im Münsterland eG in Münster.

The event starts at 6 p.m. The official part will start at 6:30 pm with a welcome and speech by Professor Littkemann. Afterwards, from 8pm, a gathering with snacks and drinks will provide an opportunity for further exchange.
