Digital content creator and TV personality Nancy Garkalne has been trying to involve her followers in finding a stolen phone on her Instagram profile for the last few weeks. Yesterday, November 1, the young woman shared sad news.
Thanks to the “Find My” app available for iPhone users, Nancy has been able to see the location of her phone all this time: “[Līdz šim] I don’t talk about it publicly, because maybe [telefona] the thief is following me. I ran around looking for my phone, but I couldn’t find it. Yesterday at eleven in the evening, the location at the bus station appeared to me. I think it will be in some Russian office soon…”
The next morning, the young woman decided to look at the most current information in the app to find out if the phone had gone to another location. Suspicions have been confirmed. “At eleven in the morning the phone was on the Russian border, but half an hour later it was in the service.” When Nancy called the phone number listed on the Internet, the service personnel claimed they knew nothing about the incident. After some time, the phone arrived at the St. Petersburg pawn shop.
The young woman is most saddened by the work of the State Police, which did not initiate a criminal case and responded to Nancy’s efforts to find the phone with the phrase “found not stolen”.
