“Digital Amusement Park Takes City by Storm: Highlights from Carmaux’s First Festival”

For two days, it’s a real little digital amusement park, to share with the family, which has taken root in the heart of the city to the delight of young and old.

In terms of results, this first festival was a real success.

1,200 visitors pushed through the doors of the François Mitterrand room, from Carmausin, but also from Albigeois, Gaillac, Lavaur, Castres, Mazamet, Graulhet, Aveyron, Montauban and even Montpellier, to try Mario Kart, FIFA 2023, Minecraft and for the youngest, the nostalgic PacMan!

The spaces dedicated to video games (Virtual reality, Simulator, E-sport, Minecraft, Retro kid, Consoles, Arcade terminals and virtual pinball machines, Just dance) saw multiple family activities created during the two days, and several stands have also settled in this mini digital amusement park to offer you sales of collection cards, but also something to eat or even get a tattoo.

To the surprise of visitors, many and many cosplayers joined the event to make it even a little more immersive.

The city of Carmaux thanks the many festival-goers who made this premiere a success and will make it possible to perpetuate this highlight for the Carmausine youth. Thank you also to the Fablab, for its commitment alongside the city and their Minecraft animation which had a great success.

We look forward to seeing you now in the spring of 2024, for the second edition!
