Digi4Wirtschaft Impulse Program: State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner Announces 6 Million Euro Funding for Digitalization Initiatives in Lower Austria

State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner emphasizes the importance of the initiative: “Digitalization offers enormous opportunities, but also challenges that we have to face. With the digi4Wirtschaft impulse program, we specifically support companies that are planning their entry into digitalization. The funding offers extensive opportunities to accompany companies on their digitalization journey and to provide them with the necessary support. Together with the WKNÖ, we are making 6 million euros available for this purpose from March 1st.”

“As diverse as our industries in Lower Austria are, the individual digitization options of the companies are just as diverse. With digi4Wirtschaft, our entrepreneurs have access to suitable funding that specifically supports their digitization steps. It is therefore very important to us to support this round of funding again with 3 million euros,” explains Wolfgang Ecker, President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

As part of the Lower Austrian digitalization funding, around 1,800 projects have received support of around 34 million euros in the last four years, meaning that Lower Austrian companies have invested more than 68.5 million euros in the digitalization of Lower Austria as a business location. In order to maintain the ongoing momentum in the digitalization of the domestic economy, the state and the Chamber of Commerce are continuing their joint efforts and are again providing 6 million euros.

This year’s “Digicall” starts on March 1, 2024. The application process was deliberately kept simple in order to continue to enable companies to submit applications in an uncomplicated manner. The main aim of the funding is to provide companies with comprehensive support in the digitization of their (analog) business processes as well as to successfully deal with current developments and trends in the field of digitization. This particularly includes topics such as artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, big data and many other relevant aspects. The “digi4Wirtschaft” impulse program again consists of three pillars: “digi Kick-Start”, “digi Assistant” and “digi Investment”. It should be noted that for this year’s “digi investment” funding campaign, only one application can be submitted per company. This means that more companies can benefit from this subsidy.

Detailed information and the application form for the “digi4Wirtschaft” impulse program can be found at 9 a.m. on March 1, 2024 www.digi4wirtschaft.at
