Difficulty of Adapting to Life in Egypt: An Egyptian Woman’s Experience after Living in Saudi Arabia for 20 Years

Al-Marsad newspaper: An Egyptian woman who lived in Saudi Arabia for 20 years revealed the difficulty of adapting to life in Egypt after returning to her country.

She said during a message circulated on social media: “I have lived in Saudi Arabia for more than 20 years. I studied. I grew up. I graduated. Everything is here, and after two years I returned to my home country, Egypt, I feel like my life is at a standstill.”

She continued: “I am not able to make friends, nor am I able to mingle with society or anything. I feel like I am returning to Saudi Arabia. It is impossible for my entire life to be like this. I feel like I have fallen into depression.”

She added: “I don’t feel good about myself. I’ve been isolated, and the relatives around me think he’s arrogant or ill-mannered, and I’m tired.”

She concluded by saying: “Residents like me, how have you adapted? I feel like my life is basically slipping away from me.”
