Difficult Start: Problems on the First Day of the Whitefield-KR Pura Metro Line

The Whitefield (Kadugodi)-KR Pura metro line faced initial problems during its commercial launch, with a lack of knowledge about feeder bus schedules and overcrowded buses causing issues for passengers on the first day of operation. Riders experienced problems with exit gates and a lack of last-mile connectivity, with some resorting to walking due to an absence of feeder buses. However, nearly 30,000 people travelled on the line during its first day of commercial operations, which was seen as a positive indicator for the future of the metro line. Plans are also underway to complete the Baiyappanahalli-KR Pura line, which would extend the benefits of the Whitefield line to more passengers.
