Different vehicle accidents leave three dead in New York City – Telemundo New York (47)

The New York City Police reported that three people lost their lives early Sunday morning during three separate car accidents or hit-and-run cases.

One of the accidents occurred around 12:40 am when police responded to a 9-1-1 call for an accident in Guy R Brewer Boulevard in southern Jamaica.

Officers found Terrell Lumpkin with extensive trauma following a crash in a 2013 Infiniti G37. Police said their preliminary investigation found that the 28-year-old Queens man lost control of his vehicle while driving at high speed.

Lumpkin then hit a wooden pole before crashing into a metal light pole, police said Sunday. A 26-year-old male passenger suffered a head laceration but survived.

Police reported a second fatal collision in Brooklyn, where a woman was run over in Belt Parkway around 3:00 am

According to the New York City Police Department, Emma Risper was traveling west in her vehicle and stopped on the right shoulder before Exit 6. The 56-year-old woman got out of her car and was hit by an unknown car. which was also traveling west.

Authorities claimed the driver fled the scene and had no description of the driver of the vehicle.

The third death was reported around 6:00 a.m. in the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood of Brooklyn. According to the NYPD, an unidentified man was walking near Avenue Z and Ocean Avenue when he was hit by a BMW.

26-year-old driver hit pedestrian while trying to cross Ocean Avenue. Police said the driver remained at the scene. No criminal charges were announced.

Paramedics took the pedestrian to Coney Island Hospital where he was killed.
