Differences between Sinovac, Sinopharm, Pfizer to Moderna Covid-19 Vaccines

TRIBUNPAPUA.COM – Vaccination Covid-19 in Indonesia will start on January 13, 2021.

Indonesia has also ordered a number of vaccine brands Covid-19 to overcome the Corona Virus pandemic.

Meanwhile, efforts to produce vaccines Covid-19 continues in the world, but China has taken big strides with two candidates – Sinovac and Sinopharm – having been sent to a number of countries including Indonesia.

But what do we know so far about these Chinese vaccines and how do they compare to other vaccines?

How does the Sinovac vaccine work?

The pharmaceutical company Sinovac is behind the development of CoronaVac, which is an inactivated vaccine.

This vaccine works by using killed virus particles to maintain immunity.

Meanwhile, the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines developed in the West are mRNA vaccines.

This vaccine uses the Corona Virus genetic code that is injected into the body, and triggers the body to produce viral proteins, which are expected to be sufficient for the immune system.

“The CoronaVac method is more traditional and has been used successfully in well-known vaccines such as rabies,” Professor Luo Dahai of Nanyang Technological University told the BBC.
