The Municipal System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) of Pedro Escobedo carried out a Day of Mastograms andn the community of Ignacio Pérez, this with the objective of promoting among the women of this place the importance of carrying out studies of prevention against breast cancer, He made this instance known through a statement.
He indicated that this campaign was carried out through the Community Development Coordination of the municipal institution, which together with the DIF State System took a mobile unit to the esplanade of the Ignacio Pérez public library where around 60 women from this and other locations where the mammography study could be performed.
He pointed out that this initiative reinforces the permanent campaign that is being carried out in the Escobedense demarcation against breast cancer, this with the aim of raising awareness, sensitizing and preventing this disease, which, according to official statistics, has positioned itself as the main cause of cancer death among women in the country.
“With the objective of promoting awareness and prevention of this disease, which represents one of the causes of mortality in Mexican women; In the community of Ignacio Pérez and nearby towns, the attendees were able to perform this important first-level medical timely diagnosis service through mammograms at no cost”, pointed.
He also reported that Within the permanent campaign of the DIF Municipal System, various actions are carried out aimed at informing and preventing women of the demarcation this suffering.
He stressed that one of the central actions of this initiative is related to the early detection of this disease, this through the free mammograms that are provided. She recalled that 20 women are transferred monthly to the Medical Specialties Unit for the Detection and Diagnosis of Breast Cancer (Uneme-Dedicam) to carry out these studies.

He added that Those interested in being part of these actions must go to the facilities of the DIF Municipal System with a copy of the INE, CURP, birth certificate and proof of address, in order to be assigned a place in the group that travels to said clinic, which is located in the state capital.
