The season starts with “Germany is looking for the superstar” – and a candidate already provides a particularly bizarre appearance.
Shada Ali (23) from Waiblingen made the long journey to Linz am Rhein to impress the jury on the DSDS boat “Blue Rhapsody”. Despite the long, tiring journey, the student was highly motivated because he feels obliged to the world.
“There’s a bit of a rock star in my blood. But I don’t think about fame, money, sex or parties. I just want to get ahead. Not just for me, but for the world! “
And so Shada had decided to make an appearance that was unique in the world – no wonder that his blood had already started to boil: “My nerves are going crazy somehow. They splash, sparkling! ”
Feelings that the 23-year-old compared to a force of nature: “I would say that when I sing, I rise. I’m getting higher and higher, like a volcano! “

He wanted to express that with the hit “Chandelier” by Sia – and made the jury look aghast. Not only did it come up with a spectacular choreography, but it also lapsed into whimpering lamentations, shrill screams and desperate moans. The actual song was barely audible.
This escalation of emotions caught the jury by surprise and exchanged distraught glances. Mike Singer (20) even sought help from above and crossed himself. In Dieter Bohlen (66), however, all dams broke. He couldn’t help but laugh and almost choked on his water. With Michael Jackson moves, Shada finally brought his performance to an end at some point – but Dieter still didn’t have enough.
He asked for an encore to this Gaga performance: “Do you also have a second title?”
