A diesel theft was reported to the police this morning, Saturday, October 28th, 2023.
As determined on site, two large trucks were affected.
Both trucks were properly parked approximately in the middle of the designated parking area. The perpetrators opened the tank caps on both vehicles, in at least one case with brute force, and sucked around 600 liters from one tank and around 860 liters from the other.
Since the process takes a certain amount of time, the police are hoping for witness statements.
Anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the parking lot of the Breisgau gas station and rest area (northern lane of the BAB 5 between the Bad Krozingen and Freiburg-Süd junctions) during the night from Friday to Saturday should please contact the Freiburg traffic police around the clock.
