To thank the singer for her efforts, two penguins have been named after her and her partner Robbert. Paay started a fundraising campaign for the zoo at the beginning of this year. Right away Tikkie action she collected more than 200,000 euros for the preservation of the Zoo.

“The money raised from donors is spent on animal welfare, food, logistics, maintenance of the enclosures, energy costs and care,” the zoo reports.
