On the second leg 2020 AFF Cup semifinals At the National Stadium, Saturday (12/25/2021) night WIB, Indonesia took the lead in the 11th minute through Ezra Walian before equalizing 1-1 at the end of the first half.
Singapore turned to lead 2-1 despite playing with nine men before being equalized by Pratama Arhan. In a 2-2 draw, Indonesia was punished with a penalty in the 90th minute.
The opportunity was wasted by Singapore when Faris Ramli’s kick was saved Nadeo Argawinata which moves to the left. The match went into extra time and Indonesia qualified for the final after winning 4-2.
Nadeo’s success in denying the penalty is considered Indonesia’s momentum to push back against Singapore, whose mentality is bound to fall. What is certain is that this moment was celebrated by many Indonesian fans in the country, including Diego Michiels.
The Indonesian national team defender in the 2012 AFF Cup apparently went viral again after his video showed the direction of Faris Ramli’s penalty shot. In a 25-second video on the Instagram account @diegomichiels24, Diego is watching the Singapore penalty moment.
Diego then predicted the direction of Faris’ shot to the left and asked Nadeo to move in that direction.
“Video capture, video capture. Nadeo left here,” said Diego, pointing to the side of Nadeo’s goal.
Sure enough, the kick went to the left and Nadeo guessed it. Diego also celebrated and patted his chest as a sign that his guess was right.
“I said what, I said what,” he continued.
In this case, can Diego Michiels guess whether Indonesia will win? AFF Cup 2020 or not?
