Diego Lainez will not be able to play the group stage of the Europa League – La Crónica de Hoy

Andrés Guarded yes, because he complies with UEFA regulations

Real Betis Balompié released this Thursday the “A List” of the players who will play this season in the Europa League, a competition that the Sevillian club entered, and on its list is the Mexican Andrés Guarded, but not Diego Lainez.

The absence of Diego Laínez is due to issues of UEFA itself, whose rules do not allow the Mexican to have activity in the group stage of the Europa League, relegating himself to List B.

The only one between the two Mexicans who meets all the requirements is Andrés Guarded for having a presence in List A, where the Mexican central does appear. This season, Real Betis will face Hungarian Ferencvaros, Scottish Celtic and Bayer Leverkusen.
