“He never managed to understand what Atlético de Madrid and that locker room were about. He never managed to adapt to what the club asked for. The team is above any player. The fans didn’t like some of his attitudes. He was never comfortable and people never supported him”, he began by saying, considering, however, that the quality of the now Barcelona player is unquestionable.
“The faces and gestures he made when he was substituted were evident… but in terms of quality, it’s incredible,” he said, speaking after João Félix’s start at Barcelona.
“I have nothing against Félix, I don’t know him. We can’t even talk about winning [no Barcelona] because of two games, we will let time pass and see how things go”, he concluded.
