At a press conference, the Olimpia club presented Diego Aguirre, its new technical director who will replace Julio César Cáceres.
The Uruguayan strategist was happy to join the Dean and stated that it was not difficult for him to decide since “the name of Olimpia weighs heavily because of its history.”

Regarding the Copa Libertadores, Aguirre acknowledged the current status of the Brazilian teams and their status as favorites but assured Olimpia is present thanks to “its history.”
