The telephone is red hot: a total of 100,000 appointments have now been made for a corona jab with the Janssen vaccine. But it is not clear whether this shot also protects enough against the Indian (delta) variant of the virus, according to Diederik Gommers.
That’s what he says in the radio show this is the day.

“If we are afraid of the delta variant, you would rather have the mRNA vaccines (Moderna or Pfizer, ed.). We already know that AstraZecena, which, like Janssen, is a vector vaccine, is slightly less effective against this variant. But we don’t know this yet about the vaccine developed in Leiden,” said the IC doctor. “That’s why I’m in it twice.”
