The police reported the traffic accident at 16.03.
There will be two cars that have collided head-on on Fylkesvei 415 between Tvedestrand and Åmli.
Four people are involved in the accident.
Three transported to hospital
At 16.50, the police report on Twitter that one of the people has died.
One person was flown to the hospital in Arendal by air ambulance. The last two involved have been transported to hospital by ambulance.
The road is closed
The air ambulance must be on site. Rescue helicopter was also ordered, but it returned to Rygge.
There should have been no need for this.
They will conduct forensic investigations on the spot throughout the evening.
County road 415 between Tvedestrand and Åmli is now closed due to the accident.
There is a detour via Rv 41 and Fv 42 between Åmli and E18, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration informs.
