Defending champion Bayern Munich open the 2022/2023 German League convincingly. Bayern humiliated the home team Eintracht Frankfurt with a final score of 6-1.
The Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich match was held at the Deutsche Bank Arena on Saturday (6/8/2022) in the morning WIB. Die Roten took a five-goal lead in the first half through Joshua Kimmich, Benjamin Pavard, Sadio Mane, Jamal Musiala, and Serge Gnabry.
Frankfurt was only able to create a reply thanks to Randal Kolo Muani after the game rolled more than an hour. Musiala then restored Bayern’s five-goal gap over Frankfurt with his second in the last eight minutes.

The course of the match
Bayern Munich started the game convincingly. Joshua Kimmich gave Bayern a quick 1-0 lead after scoring in the fifth minute.
Kimmich stepped up as Bayer’s free-kick taker in a smoky field. Kimmich curled a right-footed shot beyond goalkeeper Kevin Trapp. The ball then hit the Frankfurt goalpost before nesting in the goal.
Five minutes later, the Frankfurt goal had broken again. Benjamin Pavard increased the visitors’ advantage to 2-0.
Fankfurt struggled to defend the line after anticipating Kimmich’s corner. The ball finally fell at the feet of Thomas Mueller, then turned into Pavard’s path. The French centre-back then fired hard from inside the penalty box into the top corner of the Frankfurt goal.
Mane opened his goal account in the Bundesliga in the 29th minute. Starting from a pass from the midfield received by Serge Gnabry, a cross from the left wing was completed by Sadio Mane with a header. Frankfurt 0, Bayern 3.
Bayern only needed six minutes to create their fourth goal. Sadio Mane snatched the ball from Eintracht Frankfurt’s midfield, then sent a pass to Thomas Mueller.
In front of goal Mueller thrust the ball to the left then Jamal Musiala easily made a flick from the front of the goal. The score is now 4-0 for Bayern Munich’s advantage.
Bayern is getting crazier. In the 42nd minute, Gnabry carved his name on the scoreboard to change the position to 5-0 over Frankfurt.
Mane beat Sebastian Rode’s guard for a wild ball then sent Mueller’s pass. The last named player keenly sees Gnabry in an empty position, then sends the ball. Gnabry approached Kevin Trapp before chipping the ball into the Frankfurt goal.
After the restart, Frankfurt’s reply in the 55th minute was disallowed. Filip Kostic’s corner was met by Mario Goetze with a volley into the box, Jakic beating Neuer’s guard to slot the ball into the empty net.
However, the linesman first raised the offside flag before it was confirmed by VAR. Bayern still lead 5-0 over Frankfurt.
Frankfurt can finally score a reply in the 64th minute. Neuer made a fatal blunder so Randal Kolo Muani could break into Bayern’s goal.
Neuer received a backpass outside the penalty box. Kolo Muani came close but Neuer was still trying to hold the ball until finally the ball was won. With ease, Kolo Muani rattled the Bayern goal through a flick from close range. Eintracht Frankfurt 1-5 Bayern Munich.
In the last 10 minutes, Bayern made it half a dozen wins. Musiala scored his second goal to make the current score 6-1.
Substitute Leroy Sane released Musiala with a through ball. Musiala calmly faced pressure from Hasebe, before finishing with a low effort.
