Bayern Munich marked his last match of 2021 with a landslide victory. Entertaining Wolfsburg, Bayern picked up an easy victory with the final score 4-0.

Advanced play German LeagueBayern will host Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena on Saturday (12/18/2021) early morning WIB. Die Roten took the lead quickly thanks to Thomas Mueller’s goal early in the first half.

In the second half, Bayern added three more goals each from Dayot Upamecano, Leroy Sane, who closed with goals Robert Lewandowski.

Thus, Bayern Munich is increasingly firmly at the top of the Bundesliga standings after bagging 43 points from 17 matches. Bayern are nine points ahead of their closest rivals, Borussia Dortmund, who will only compete on Sunday (19/12) WIB.

Meanwhile Wolfsburg slipped to 12th place. Die Wolfe collecting 20 points, only three points away from Augsburg who are in the relegation playoff zone.

The course of the match

Start brilliant created Bayern. Thomas Mueller immediately opened the scoring with less than seven minutes of play to make it 1-0.

Starting from a free-kick situation from the left wing of the field, the Wolfsburg defense saved Leroy Sane’s shot. Bayern then controlled the ball.

Serge Gnabry fired hard from outside the penalty box which was pushed over by goalkeeper Koen Casteels. Mueller in an onside position easily found the rebound with a flick from the front of the six-yard box.

Bayern’s lead almost doubled less than half an hour later. Sane sent a pull pass near the goal line which Mueller continued with a header. Robert Lewandowski stood in a free position to finish with a header from close range but Casteels was able to anticipate it.

Ahead of the break, Wolfsburg made a dangerous attack. Crossing Max Arnold followed by Wout Weghorst with a volley. Manuel Neuer can catch the ball.

After the restart, Bayern finally managed to create a second goal in the 57th minute. Gnabry combed the right side of the Wolfsburg penalty box, then released a pull bait which Mueller forwarded with a crossing. Upamecano finished with a header at the post beyond Casteels’ reach. Bayern lead 2-0.

Bayern only needed two minutes to increase their lead to 3-0. Gnabry’s thrust from the right was accepted by Sane. He dribbled all the way to the edge of the Wolfsburg penalty area, then finished with a left-footed curling shot.

Lewandowski completed Bayern’s win with a fourth goal in the last three minutes of normal time. A bait from the front of the Wolfsburg penalty box headed by Jamal Musiala near the byline. Lewandowski finished with a volley from close range that nestled in the top corner of the net to make it 4-0.
