Let’s face it frankly, during this holiday season and school vacation, not many people think about politics. And yet, there are Internet users who never miss a single detail. This is the case of the one who sent us this screenshot of the Instagram account of Robert Didier (Didier Robert), President of the Region who recently added on his profile, just under his name, the mention: “political candidate ”. While renewing his profile photo on which he poses with his dog.
Even if Didier Robert’s candidacy for the next regional – which should take place next June, at the same time as the departmental ones (as we had already announced to you since the end of 2020) – there is no doubt, the person concerned is not yet officially declared, unlike some others, like Olivier Hoarau (mayor of the Port), Vanessa Miranville (mayor of La Possession) who had done live on Antenne Réunion.
This small detail on his Instagram account, according to some Internet users, would therefore say a lot about his future electoral intentions (ambitions). Remember that Didier Robert is completing his second term this year as President of the Region. He was first elected at the head of the inverted pyramid in March 2010, then in December 2015 by beating the late Paul Vergès twice.
Let us also recall that a court decision concerning him in the case of the SPL Regional Museums must also fall next April, a month and a half before the regional and departmental.
