Didi Food Implements Insurance Coverage for Delivery Drivers in Partnership with SURA

Didi Food announced that insurance coverage has been implemented for the application’s delivery drivers in partnership with SURA.

With this alliance, Didi Food’s journeys to deliver across the country will have different coverage, including:

  • Civil liability: Covers the damage caused by the user delivering to a third party to their property and/or person during delivery.

  • Personal Accidents: Covers death, total and permanent disability, distribution and funeral expenses of the customer deliverer while delivering with the app.

  • Medical expenses: Covers the payment of medical expenses incurred by the user as a result of an accident while delivering using the application.

  • Vehicle assistance: Covers roadside assistance if the unit suffers a mechanical and/or electrical failure or problem during delivery.

  • Legal protection: Providing legal advice and support if needed.

How long does the cover last?

Begins when the delivery service process begins and ends 45 minutes after this.

To request assistance, delivery drivers must contact Didi Support, via the number 800 801 6888 and dial option 9 to receive assistance from a dedicated agent.

The insurer will only require the driver’s license and driver’s card, both valid and current, to activate cover.

Someone else can ask for help for a Didi Food delivery person

If the delivery person is in a situation where they cannot communicate, family members can report the event, to offer an additional way to facilitate care.

In this case, you must indicate the full name of the delivery person, identification document, phone number or email. They will also ask for details about the event.
