This is the social media application’Club House’ launched in April of last year.

It is a closed application that allows you to sign up only when you receive an invitation from an existing user.

The number of users recently surged as Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk became known to participate in the clubhouse conversation on the 1st.

During the last weekend in China, a video lecture on how to use the clubhouse was uploaded to an internet shopping mall for 1.54 million won, and some people offered to buy an invitation to the clubhouse for cash.

But suddenly, from the evening of Monday (8th), access from China was blocked.

As debates over political issues that are taboo in China, there are analyzes that the Chinese authorities have taken action.

Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post pointed out that “the number of chat rooms in clubhouses discussing sensitive topics such as the Hong Kong National Security Law, Xinjiang Uyghur concentration camps, and Taiwanese independence was blocked,” he said.

In China, where separate virtual private networks and VPNs are required, even if you try to access existing social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, it was observed that blocking access to the clubhouse was a matter of time, but this concern was realized.

State media in China argued that anti-neutral people use the clubhouse as a means of disseminating their political claims, and argued that the clubhouse is not a free space for free speech.
