Chloé Mortaud has been part of the Miss France family since her election on December 6, 2008. Since that time, the now 32-year-old mother has created her own business in the United States. The beauty queen confided in this subject in the pages of The Dispatch of this December 27.
It was at the age of 19 that Chloé Mortaud became Miss France 2009, at the Carrousel du Puy du Fou. After her year as a beauty queen, the young Ariègeoise decided to leave for the United States. Its goal : “discover my Afro-American roots from my mom’s side”, as she explains to The Dispatch, on newsstands this Monday, December 27. For two years, she worked and lived in New York for the modeling agency Elite Model Management. After multiple destinations, the young mother is now in Los Angeles. “Since 2018, I have created and launched my own made in France skincare brand, ” Mademoiselle Provence ””, she revealed to our colleagues. His next project for 2022? A new brand “innovative always made in France” of beauty “inside & out”.
To be able to carry out her business successfully, Chloé Mortaud must travel back and forth between France and the United States. “I love living between the two countries. I find it very enriching. However, I miss France more and more “, she confessed to the magazine. Even if she lives less and less in France, she remains very attached to her country of origin: “I don’t think I’ll ever be really ‘American’. I am fundamentally French by my principles and my ideals“. The former Miss France recognizes it, it has a rather atypical course compared to those of other queens of beauty. However she did “no regrets” and does not have the impression of having put a “childhood dream” next to. Today she is happy in his family life and professional.
Chloé Mortaud had a bad time in her Miss France year
“I managed with difficulty the Miss France year. From the height of my 19 years, I was not prepared for the media whirlwind”, said the 32-year-old mother in the portrait of The Dispatch, “this pressure was difficult, even if the Miss France team is very present on a daily basis”. For Chloé Mortaud, some media and journalists are too harsh with the Miss news and attack them easily. “When we are elected Miss France we are not elected ” Miss Perfect ””, she stressed to our colleagues. Despite this, the business manager is now thriving in her work, far from the life she led as Miss France. “I think that I will be forever for certain.es a ” former Miss France ”.
