Did Wim S. really commit eleven murders? Then he would be the biggest serial killer in the Netherlands | Inland

The Geldrop night is dark and quiet. The light is still on at the police station. Detective Cor van Hout has night shift as watch commander, but there is hardly anything to do.

Then the doors fly open out of nowhere and a man storms in, waving his arms violently. “I can’t live with it anymore, I can’t. I have to tell, ” he shouts. One of Geldrop’s most notorious thieves has just walked into the office. Van Hout recognizes him immediately.

He shoots out of his chair and puts Wim S. at a table. Van Hout feels the adrenaline rushing through his body. Wimke, as they call the man in the village, has been associated with the disappearance of several women from the region for years. Tonight, is he about to break?

Van Hout puts a cup of coffee on the table and tries to get him to talk. But S. shakes his head. “Strabrecht, Strabrecht. The heather … ”, he stammers. The Strabrechtse Heide is a nature reserve around the corner. Van Hout is sure that the man sitting in front of him will now tell where he buried his victims. But whatever the detective tries, it won’t work. “I can’t say it, I can’t”, S. repeats. After fifteen minutes he gets up and leaves the police station.
