According to consistent media reports, the British musician is said to have received shocking news just a few days before his death.
Accordingly, his record company Capitol Records, which belongs to Universal Music, is said to have terminated its contract with him. This is what writes, among other things, Daily Mailthat several sources have confirmed this.
Possibly one of the reasons why the 31-year-old completely lost control in Buenos Aires on Wednesday? After all, he is said to have been under the influence of drugs and rioted in his hotel before falling from the balcony to his death.

Universal Music Group has not yet commented, but wrote an Instagram post saying: “We are devastated by the tragic death of Liam Payne.”

In addition to shocked and touching statements from his ex-band colleagues, Payne’s ex-girlfriend and mother of his child Cheryl Cole (41) has also commented on his death.
The former “Girls Aloud” singer wrote an emotional text for a heartbroken photo that shows the singer with his then newborn son Bear (now 7).
“Liam wasn’t just a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7-year-old son. A son who now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again ” says the post.

At the same time, she criticizes the public’s handling of the events of the past few days. “It breaks my heart that I [Bear] cannot protect against it in the future.”
The investigation into the Circumstances of Payne’s death are not yet completed. According to the Daily Mail, an autopsy revealed that “multiple injuries as well as internal and external bleeding” were the cause. However, it is still unclear how the fatal fall from a height of around 14 meters could have occurred.
