Did star virologist Drosten really hide corona data?

There are serious allegations against Christian Drosten: RKI leaks suggest that the virologist withheld findings on corona tests because they contradicted the government.

The publication of unredacted documents about the RKI meeting of the Robert Koch Institute’s (RKI) Corona crisis team is currently causing a media stir. This has attracted a number of critics who feel confirmed in their assumption that sensitive information was deliberately withheld. Specifically, it is alleged that the virologist Christian Drosten suppressed medical information in order to enable lockdowns – especially with regard to untargeted PCR tests, according to a report in “Spiegel”.

Explosive: Just a few days after the RKI meeting, Drosten published a guest article in the “Zeit” newspaper in which he outlined strategies for avoiding lockdowns. In May, RKI protocols from the crisis team (period: January 2020 to April 2021) were published, with personal operational and business secrets blacked out. Shortly afterwards, a group of critics of the Corona measures posted an unblacked out version online.

An RKI document dated July 29, 2020 shows an unpublished draft text by Drosten in which he describes untargeted testing as not useful. It literally states: “The article is confidential. Mr. Drosten has since decided not to publish the paper because untargeted testing is considered not useful in the text and this contradicts government action.” In July 2024, Drosten told the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” that it was unclear to him how the note came about and that he did not want to publish the paper.
