Stella 37-year-old Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo argued with his agent George Mendesem.
Portuguese journalist Victor Pinto shared some details of the conflict:
“Clubs were reluctant to consider signing Ronaldo. The proof of this is that Al-Nasr asked him to marry him. Ronaldo had no options from Europe’s top clubs, only an offer from Al-Nasr.
Jorge Mendes had the courage to tell the truth, which Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t take well. And Cristiano decided that he didn’t need an agent to go to Saudi Arabia as a free agent.”
Note that Ronaldo’s transfer was not handled by the player’s agent Jorge Mendes, but by Cristiano’s personal manager and friend, Ricardo Regufe.
It was previously reported that Mendes too interrupted Ronaldo talks to Al-Nasr.
