Did “Ogero’s” general manager reveal an Internet shutdown in Lebanon?

news-details-description">

The Lebanese have been suffering for days from an internet outage in a large number of regions. Some districts have become almost completely “isolated”. There is nothing left in this country, and it seems that the time for the Internet and communications has come, so will the service be interrupted in all of Lebanon?

Imad Kreidieh, General Manager of Ogero Corporation, confirms, in an interview with mtv website, that the employees have nothing to do with the internet outage. However, Kreidieh says: “The generous state that has prevented Ogero since 2019 from carrying out the necessary maintenance has led us to reach this stage. The generators stop by themselves, either because they are out of power.” And because we do not have the money to buy it or because of the mechanical failures that occur in the generators, and we do not have “spare parts” for replacement. In addition to all this is the employees’ strike, and “the system does not work on its own.”

There are several reasons behind our partial isolation.. Will it turn into a totality?

Kreidieh replies: “Certainly, if the situation continues as it is today, regardless of the strike, the interruption will extend to all regions because the capabilities no longer exist. “.

So, it seems that we are going towards cutting off the internet from all of Lebanon in the absence of “officials”… So rejoice!
