did not agree on the wording about the war of the Russian Federation

The G20 meeting, held in India, nevertheless ended without a joint statement – due to the unwillingness of Russia and China to agree to acceptable language for others about the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

It is reported by “European truth“.

India, as the presiding country, itself published final document. It includes fragments from the declaration of the November G20 summit in Bali and notes that all participants agreed with paragraphs 3 and 4, except for Russia and China.

Paragraph 3 mentions UN resolutions condemning Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and demanding an immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine.

“Most participants strongly condemn the war in Ukraine and note that it is causing great human suffering and deepening problems in the global economy, hampering growth, accelerating inflation, disrupting supply chains, increasing energy and food risks, increasing risks of financial instability. Others were also heard views and other assessments of the situation and sanctions. The G20 is not a platform for solving security problems, but we recognize that they can significantly affect the global economy.

Paragraph 4 notes that it is essential to ensure respect for international law and a comprehensive peace and stability system, which includes, among other things, respect for the principles of the UN Charter and the protection of civilians and infrastructure in armed conflicts.

“The use or threat of use of nuclear weapons is unacceptable. Peaceful conflict resolution, efforts to respond to crises, diplomacy and dialogue are vital. Our era should not be an era of war,” the document says.

The media learned in advance that the finance ministers of the G20 countries failed to reach a consensus on language about the war in Ukraine and will most likely end the meeting in India on Saturday without a common communiqué.
