Antonio Panzeri was a staunch supporter of Morocco in the EU. Now he is accused of having been well paid when he defended the country against criticism.
In June 2018, two Dutch activists were to meet Italian Antonio Panzeri. They wanted to nominate Moroccan Nasser Zefzafi for the EU’s human rights prize, the Sakharov Prize.
Panzeri was an important person in this respect – he chaired the European Parliament’s Committee on Human Rights. But the meeting did not go as the two human rights activists had expected.
