Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi surprised this week with the release of his new song, Pass the Pagewhich has caused a stir in networks because it is considered a hint for Fonsi’s ex, the host Adamari López.
Since the release, social networks and the media have exploded with questions and comments about the nature of the song, and if it really is dedicated to the singer’s best-known ex-partner.
The scandal grew bigger after the Puerto Rican shared the video on his Twitter account, accompanied by the text: “It had to be said and I said it,” with a screaming emoji.
Opinions in this regard were divided, and many believe that this is a hint at his ex-wife, also Puerto Rican, with whom there has always been controversy because he cheated on her and left her while she was fighting breast cancer, while others believe that he only did any song.
According to the interpreter of I Don’t Give Up, Turning the Page is aimed at many people, not one in particular, who according to him should already “turn the page” of past episodes and let go of certain things. However, no one besides Adamari is known to mention Fonsi.
“My song is not for anyone in particular, I tell you very clearly. My song is for many people. Because right now I have a list of many people in my head who I feel have to turn the page, so it’s not an attack or a hint to a person. It is direct for many people, ”he explained on the program Wake up America.
Clarifying this point, Fonsi continued to share details about his new single, and stressed that he seeks to leave a message of self-improvement and personal growth in his audience.
Despite the singer’s refusal, many users could not help noticing the resemblance of the model used in the music video to Adamari López, which was also clarified by the Puerto Rican.
“Honestly, it was random, I wasn’t even there at the time, that was one of the dancers they caught there, and I honestly don’t think it looks like it,” he added.
Luis Fonsi is now in the middle of promoting his new single, and in networks he has not stopped sharing his enthusiasm and gratitude with his followers, answering questions from fans on set and in different parts of the United States.
