Another possible case of a wolf attack on a farm animal has become known in the municipality of Münstertal. A dead and partially already decayed sheep is currently being examined.
The Baden-Württemberg Ministry for the Environment, Climate and Energy Management has announced in a press release that the Forestry Research and Research Institute in Freiburg, FVA, has been reported from the municipality of Münstertal in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district.
The sheep may have been snapped, a wolf attack cannot be ruled out, it is said. The animal was therefore handed over to the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office, CVUA, in Freiburg for further investigation.
Wolf attack on goats detected in April
The Ministry of Environment had already informed the livestock farmers’ associations and the local wildlife officers. Münstertal lies outside the well-known wolf prevention promotional backdrop.
