Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of Cuba pointed out at the meeting this Saturday the importance of having cadres prepared to support innovation and research.
«To manage a municipality you have to know about economics, to discuss with the structures and companies. Reduce the number of meetings and achieve agile work systems that solve people’s problems. You have to go to the town, listen to it, that generates trust and support.
He also reflected on the fact that the pace of housing recovery generates dissatisfaction and has objective and subjective problems. You have to check the delivery of materials. This is a matter that urgently needs to be addressed on the basis of objectivity.
He urged to continue strengthening attention to social institutions, associating them with productive forms. Ensure that each Mayor knows every day what the menu of the social centers of her municipality is and that progress is made in the creation of children’s houses, because in Pinar del Río more than 2,500 mothers request places in children’s circles.
He emphasized working firmly in confronting crime and corruption. Set priorities. Define those issues that directly impact the people.
«This is a province that needs the help of others, but also has the challenge of exploiting all its reserves and potential. It is urgent that the government systems work well, have the conviction that things can be done even with the blockade, “he said.
Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the PCC, said at the close of the meeting that there is evidence of coherence in the work systems in the province, although there are still reserves to be exploited.
“It is up to the Party to continue strengthening its internal life. It is necessary to attend to the youth, not only to the UJC, but to all the youth that is a guarantee of continuity and future. In Vueltabajo, young people have been the protagonists of great epics, they were faced with COVID-19 and when Ian’s attacks, they also have to be at the forefront in productive tasks.
“The PCC also has to attend to the mass organizations. The way in which Pinar del Río has responded to the elections and its attendance at the polls is a sign of the lineage and commitment of this town.
