Diana Sosoacă can no longer run for the presidential elections. CCR rejected his claim

The judges of the Constitutional Court, on Saturday, October 5, rejected the candidacy of Diana Sosoacă in the presidential elections, sources told Digi24.ro. Soon after, the official statement came, in which the CCR announced that they had accepted the appeal against the candidacy of Diana Sosoacă for the presidency with a majority of votes. The decision is final and will be communicated to the Central Electoral Office.

  • The magistrates of the Court postponed, tonight until 21.00, the debate about the appeals that were created against the applications of Mircea Geoană and Ludovic Orban in the presidential elections.

UPDATE 19.15: CCR rejected, with unanimous votes, the appeals designed against Nicolae Ciucă, Kelemen Hunor and the application of Miron Cozma, the institution says in a press release. Therefore, all the aforementioned people can run for president.

The original news: According to Digi24, among the reasons why CCR magistrates rejected Diana Şoșoiaca’s application are the statements she made. In particular, her statements show a lack of connection to the Constitution.

In an intervention on the Facebook page, Diana Șoșoacă said that the decision of the CCR is “the complete exercise of justice and the slaughter of the Romanian nation”. “Typhoon Diana Sosoacă could only be stopped by illegality! ”, she continued.

The magistrates of the CCR met on Saturday, October 5, starting at 5:00 pm, to consider the seven appeals aimed at the claims of Mircea Geoană, Diana Şoşoacă, Nicolae Ciucă, Kelemen Hunor and Ludovic Orban. One person protested that Miron Cozma’s presidential application was rejected, and the same person also struggled with the application of Kelemen Hunor, the leader of the UDMR.
