Dian Sastro Gives Scholarships to 17 Underprivileged Children, Now Some are Doctors to Lawyers

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Actress Dian Sastro provide scholarships to 17 underprivileged children. Of these scholarships, some of them are now working as doctors and lawyers.

Dian Sastro said that the scholarship came from his work in the entertainment industry.

“So at that time my ability, yes I wanted to take two or three foster children per year. That much ability,” he said. Dian Sastrowardoyo quoted from the YouTube channel WardahBeauty, Tuesday (13/4/2021).

Dian said, some of the foster children came from families whose parents worked as construction workers or traders.

“I lectured, this is the child of a construction worker who won the class,” said the film star, What’s Up with Love? this.

Dian admitted that initially she wanted to support two or three children, but that number increased after she met other candidates.

“His ability to take three children, but when I met six candidates, in the end I took them so well,” said Dian.

Dian is willing to use her savings to open scholarships for her foster children so that they can achieve their dreams.

Now there are 17 Dian’s foster children who have been awarded the scholarship since 2015.

Seven of them have graduated and are working in offices, becoming lawyers and doctors.

“Already someone is a doctor, his son is a stone miner, his son doesn’t have the heart, he wants to go to college not to be arrogant, but so that you don’t have to work anymore, like that,” said Dian.
