Assistant game designer Antonio Watson said that the innovations of the second season should return players to Diablo IV. According to him, he has already seen a lot of positive feedback about the announced changes and the content that the developers have prepared. Watson noted that the QoL improvements, which were highly praised by players, will be enough motivation for people to return to the game.
Season 2 of Diablo IV will begin on October 17, 2023. In it, the developers will add additional mechanics with the ability to obtain 22 unique vampire skills, a storyline quest chain, six bosses, and make many changes related to gameplay. Among other things, the developers will improve the nightmare dungeons, increase the amount of experience gained, add filtering and searching in the inventory, and also improve the behavior of horses. Along with the launch of season two, Diablo IV will be released on Steam.
