Blizzard presented Diablo IV during Blizzcon 2019 and since then, the gaming giant has kept the lid on the current potential release date. During this weekend’s Xbox stream, Blizzard appeared to showcase Diablo IV and at the same time confirmed that the game will be released sometime next year. More specifically during the first half of 2023, when Microsoft made it clear that all games shown during the show will be released within 12 months.
The developers also announced that the game will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S. Crossplay and cross-progression will be offered, so players who own the game on multiple platforms will be able to seamlessly jump between them and continue playing with the same characters without losing success.
The gameplay video, as you can see above, as well blog posts gives us more information about the upcoming game such as more extensive opportunity to modify the appearance of his character and how the shared world will work.
Blizzard has also shown off the fifth playable class in the game and this is the Necromancer. As in previous Diablo titles, Necromancer is a character who uses magical abilities to summon skeletons and other demonic creatures to fight side by side with the player. In addition to Necromancer, players will be able to play as Barbarian, Druid, Rogue and Sorceress.
